Meet the Tour Organizers and Guides

Since 1995 Jeanne Mills has been organizing and leading textile tours, visiting places that quilters, textile buffs, Francophiles and those looking for inspiration will enjoy. She is an experienced European traveler, who lived in France during the mid-sixties and again between 1985 and 1993. She loves the country, has been a quilt shop owner, and currently works and teaches part time in a local quilt shop.
In 2008 Bonnie Bennett joined her mother Jeanne, as her assistant. Bonnie's very early schooling was in a small French country school, followed by two years of early grades at the Lycée International in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, outside of Paris. Fast forwarding, Bonnie graduated with a degree in French and taught high school French in Manteca, California, where she lives. She has traveled frequently in France and of course, is fluent in the French language.
Jeanne Mills Tours is not affiliated with any tour groups. We have planned the itinerary and chosen the visits and excursions for this, our 17th tour. We use the services of Suzanne Cox of Kenwood Travel in California and Globeo Travel in Paris. We reserve the right to make changes in the daily activities according to the needs and energy level of the group, the weather and new museum exhibits, ideas, suggestions and information coming to our attention between now and the start of the tour.
Our objective as tour organizers and quiltmaker and appreciator, is to provide you with an opportunity to discover creative ideas for your future quiltmaking or other artistic endeavors. Our daily activities are chosen from the perspective of artists and quiltmakers in search of colorful ideas, designs and inspiration. Along the way we will explore a variety of attractions, many of which may influence your future projects. As you experience French culture, meet people, take photos and record memories, you'll bring home a myriad of new design ideas. The excursion offers something for everyone between the excitement of the city of Nice and the seductive harmony of the countryside of Provence.
